The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe expresses its sadness for the fallen victims of the incidents in Kiev, and urges self restraint

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe expresses its deep sadness for the loss of life and injuries during confrontations in the squares of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, over the past few days, and urges all parties to exercise self restraint, avoid violence, and commit to respect for human rights.

The Federation voices concern regarding these unfortunate events, marked by violence and loss of life, and expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and its wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured.

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe—as it shares with the Ukrainian people their concern over current developments—is confident in the ability of the country and its people to overcome the current crisis, and make the transition to a future of prosperity and adherence to the values of liberty, democracy, and social peace.
