The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe (FIOE) strongly condemns the horrific incident of burning a prisoner alive

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe received with great sadness the news of the horrific crime committed against a captive Jordanian pilot in burning him alive.

Killing by burning is a skin-crawling, barbaric act and shocking crime. The perpetrators were quite intent in meticulously documenting and broadcasting their crime to cause the maximum terror and horror.

The Federation emphasises that this grave violation of the sanctity of the human life, the teachings and ethics of religion, and international laws, norms, and codes concerning prisoners, only exposes the falsity and baselessness of claims by the perpetrators of these horrific acts in attempting to associate these with Islam.

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe presents its condolences to the Kasasbah family and the Jordanian people and leadership in this sad occasion.
